Why are low standards for dps acceptable?

I don't see the problem asking about this, even tho it would be better to just ask any other question to get some response out of the character.

Do you really expect a reply when asking everyone in a party "are you a bot"? The OP conveniently left out the pre-cursor to this conversation. There is no way to determine it was directed at the BLM until "why are you not using enochian"

The OP wasn't just offering a 'critique', he was being rude. Over a period of 5 minutes. Ending with "thats the talk of low standards" ..

It is subjective. I played many team based games where the real rude behaviour happens, so I do not consider those lines rude.

The rude part started with the "wanna tell dps how to dps" comment and from there it was escalating. But that's of course just my opinion.

I don't need to be a psychic to see the context set up by this thread and the chiming in white mage. The manner in which the question was asked was clearly dismissive assuming OP didn't like the BLM performance going by this thread title alone and the premise in the opening post. OP presenting the whole situation in a misleading manner doesn't help anyone. Although the tank was just outright rude, but there wasn't really any discussion about the tank in this thread, it's a dps witch-hunt all along.

So if we learned anything from this topic, it's this
If a BLM forgets to use 1 CD, let them know. Same with other classes. "Hey healer, you forgot to stone skin our tank" or " hey DRK, you forgot to turn grit back on" instead of stupid passive-aggressive questions. People are more likely to take it better when you don't come off as a whiny tool.

I still find it funny that healers are the only forums where it's never their fault, while the other two forums have topics about how they messed up. Dem healer egos need stroking.

The issue with healers is that when the healer messes up it is usually the domino effect of somebody else in the group messing up first.

We also have the "dps vs not dps" argument, so no matter what you do half of the community hates you for not doing the other thing. Seriously, as the community we should finally decide what is the standard.

The healer role is also the most affected one by the performance of the other party members, which leads to frustration, which leads to ego stroking. On the bright side without the ego stroking there would be less healers in the Qs.
