The first part I quoted, you literally put words in my mouth. I corrected you.
Second part, yes, I did repeat what you said.
Third. I corrected you again. It didn't escalate when the OP said he had a lvl60 BLM. It escalated when he was told to shut up in response by the very person who asked him the question in the first place in the most snide manner:
"do me a favor."
"shut up".
I'm not making assumptions. I use what's written in the chat log to make my point. You constantly refer to things that we can't see or prove from that chat log such as a rhetorical question, and tones that may or may not be there, or intended. That's why I dismiss yours.

Also, I can't believe this topic is still going on. People seem to have a lot of time on their hands today.
If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.
What are you saying? We're using the same chat log. TC is asking the BLM if she's a bot. That's rude. You're saying that's an assumption by me. Well, you not thinking it's rude is also an assumption. Why did TC not just ask why the BLM wasn't using it's ability? Why did he ask a bunch of stupid questions first? The BLM got offended by it regardless of whether is was meant to offend or not.
I may have misread, there have been a lot of posts in rapid succesion. I had the understanding you were saying the TC initiated conversation as a jerk and received a response in kind. In which case, discussion of who was a jerk first is relevant.I'm not really debunking who was the jerk first. Only that that they were both jerks. BLM was rude first. TC was asking stupid rhetorical questions instead of just asking a simple one like why the BLM was not using an ability. It all happened very fast. Why didn't the TC just ask in the first place? Why wait and then ask a bunch of silly questions. My first thought when a White mage doesn't use heal me soon enough, is not "Are you a bot?"
I agree that I would have worded things differently, but we all word and approach conflict in different ways. Some are better than others, but it doesn't make other ways wrong. I don't think the TC was incorrect in any way, and definitely did not deserve to be booted from the duty. The other members of the party exhibited a pretty toxic attitude that I thought banning parses and having an anti-harassment clause in the ToS was supposed to prevent.
It was awhile, so I guess you forgot how this turned around. I claimed that it was embarrassing another person didn't realize they had new skills. You defended them saying not everyone notices the obvious, of which I followed up to say that is embarrassing. I don't think you need to be embarrassed. I think that if I was the other poster, I would be embarassed. It would be a story that I would post under thread title "Funny stories of times you done goofed" or "Things that you're embarrassed about" or whatever.
I wouldn't say accusing someone of being a bot is a reason to be kicked. That's pretty mild imo. But the rest of the conversation is. BLM may have started it, but he kept it going. TC was just unlucky enough to run into a duo party.I may have misread, there have been a lot of posts in rapid succesion. This thread has become a total train wreck. I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been deleted yet with how much it has degraded...
It seems to me that there are many people on both sides, why don't we all just agree to disagree at this point? Or just keep going and see if we can get this thread up to 70+ pages.
You can say whatever you want. You canc all them trash and have whatever opinion you desire. You can wonder why such a playstyle and laziness is accepted in this community. You can criticize them for not knowing what they should about their class at this point in time, during Fractual Continuum.
But imo at the end of the day all you can do is give them advice. If you sit there and tell them how to do something you'd be stupid to assume they will take your advice at heart and reply with "You're right, I'll do as you say." or "Thank you for the advice, I will try that next time."
My opinion is that you were a jerk and that BLM can play however the hell they want in fact they could have roleplayed as a Ice Mage and you'd still be in the same situation telling them how to play and boasting how you have the job to 60 implying that you're oh-so-smart and know it better than them, dude some people hate that attitude and despite what you expect it didn't go your way and you got the boot because even though you feel like you didn't deserve the kick, you were the one meddling with someone else's gameplay, you could have continued on instead of doing that and probably making another player uncomfortable.
edit: I understand people have differing opinions and this thread became a mess. At the end of the day I think people can play however they want and learn at their own pace. And some people learn slower than others*. Honestly if you would have went about that from a different approach, like a friend putting his hand on their shoulder and honestly giving them advice as they are learning their job, from a non-agressive standpoint, you would be A-OK but you didn't, you were a jerk.
Instead of giving them a memory of them slowly learning the skill or a friend giving them advice and helping them learn it themselves.. They have the memory of some random jerk telling them they don't know crap about their job and boasting how much more you know. They gotta remember you pointing out their mistake like "why aren't you using this, are you stupid? do you know your own job at all?"
*: Me? I learned MNK hella slow. I made it my alt for fun and suddenly jumped into second coil raiding, not even planning to raid. I didn't learn the full rotation and do the positionals right until TURN 9 and thankfully I NEVER ran into friend or random that pointed out my weakness like you just did to this BLM.

All this arguing over Fractal, an ilvl 145 dungeon. I think it's worth noting that this happened at the first boss, there has been no complaint about the AoE damage this BLM was doing (from the OP or the healer) which is what really slows dungeons down, the speed at which you kill the trash. The first boss of Fractal not only has a very large HP pool but is also the least friendly boss for a BLM of the 3. A good BLM will use Enochian for sure but as Fractal is the best place to learn your Enochian rotation I can understand why a less skilled or less confident BLM might lose it so much that they choose to stick to 2.0 rotation there, at least until they learn the fight/job better. This is the point the OP steps in, the BLM has had one chance to use Enochian and the OP was on them about it. It's not right that they didn't use it but if that's the only problem and it's the best they've got then just shut up and get on with it, it's Fractal ffs.
