Just as I mentioned previously, there are three ways to obtain equipment in FFXIV.
    1. Obtaining items via difficult raids
    2. Obtaining items through tokens that have weekly limitations
    3. Obtaining items by spending a long period of time

Anima weapons fall into the third path above.

Complaining about high costs is not the way to earn gil.

Try it with pudding flesh (as an example)
I don't complain about high gil costs, I complain that adding these items is simply a way to transfer gil from non-crafters to crafters, without adding any challenge or actual content for crafters. It's a useless addition.

I hate gathering more than I hate crafting. They are easily the worst things in any video game I have ever played (not being hyperbolic). Treasure maps are fun, but I still have 0 idea how to even obtain a treasure map 2500 hours into playing. They're nothing particularly fantastic though, just overly easy open world content with minimal rewards. I make gil via my Battle Retainers, and I was able to purchase my relic and am 40% of the way to buying the items I need for my 2nd relic (while 10% of the way with unidentifiable items).

Ah thanks, appreciate it. TBH I think someone told me this before, but it's been a long time and I had forgotten. Cheers

    It's honestly a normal market.

You got a small server big prices. You got a big server small prices.

I'm in Lamia a medium server. Whole set is 4mil.

I'l wait to buy when I'm ready it will drop or I'll have one of my many crafter friends make it.

You don't really need high level gatherers and crafters for this. You need the ilvl150 hq gear melded for stats for crafting and the master III book(which is easy to get) and you need the ilvl150 hq gear on gatherers again melded for stats to hit the nodes required - yes the inital ilvl150 gear and the melds might be a bit of an upfront cost for most people but it's nowhere near high level - not now.

And for those that have issues with making gil - search for the green gil guide - it will show you all the gil fountains in the game you can use to make gil - withouth gathering or crafting and how much you can make per week just doing that.

I would have prefered a flat 100k rate from npcs like the old relic had at one point. Even that would have been better than this or they be non specialist recipis cause that lowers the supply of them significantly.
Obtaining items by spending alot of time is one thing and obtaining items by leveling gatherers/crafters and/or spending alot of gil are two completely different things. If im gonna spend time/gil aquiring mats that could be sold for profit or spend that much gil... id rather just buy/create a weapon or armor utilizing crafting itself, not a quest with items... just let crafters make rare i200 weapons for tons of gil instead... its the same...

You do realize you just killed your own argument that High Level classes aren't needed right? i150 DoL/DoH gear is all over lvl 50. And Star level Crafting takes commitment from hell.

i150 gear is lvl60 starting gear for crafting - you use it to eventually get the 170/180 gear... And the 1 star level crafting doesn't need much at all - no red scrips, 320 blue scrips to get the book. By high level crafting I am refering to 2 star and higher crafting. That needs red scrip and blue scrip grind and other such nonsense.

If you were refering to high level as meaning lvl60 then... err for me that's base level crafting... you want that to actually do much of anything down the line.

Absolutely BS. I barely have 1 mill to my name, and leveling is a waste of time since Relic will be long outclassed by the time you are able to craft some of this crap.

100k gil item from NPC + 200k gil item from crafters was it, if you thought crafters were not involved in that step
