Just so you know SCH and SMN are of the same class ARC and please add in the fairy's abilities. Also, SCH can dps a lot easier than the other 2 healers. They can easily place dots on one target then spread them to all adds then go back to healing or keep dpsing because they have a fairy to heal for you. SCH is pretty OP for having these abilities and the devs have decided to not bring out another class like it again for a long time or never again.

Now lets look WHM or AST. WHM has way more Healer skills then dps skills. WHM can also burn through mp like it was nothing based on current conditions. So keeping a balance of mp while dpsing and healing can be a pain sometimes.

AST is a hybrid class that has group support/dps/heals. AST is very unique and can reek havoc on the battle field if you decide to play that way. However, they are also a mp hog if go over board with dpsing. They have a pretty solid dps skill line but they really burn through mp w/out hardly any effort with really no way of regaining mp on there own unless they get super lucky on a draw.

Healer dps is optional.... It will continue to be that way unless the devs change the game so everyone can just heal themselves. Basically if you don't like HEALERS that just HEAL then I think you have more problems in RL or simply love arguing for the sake of arguing.

There is no right or wrong answer here. If you love to throw some deeps while healing then by all means get your deeps on. If you love to only heal then by all mean heal away till your heart is content. Getting butt hurt over an issue that clearly has no right or wrong answer is not going to change the way players want to play.

This also falls in the same category for tanks as well. There is no wrong or right answer if a tank prefers str over vit or vit over str. The options are there for the players to decide what is best for them. If the group does not like the fact that the tank is wearing ALL TANK gear well I think that group needs to go find mommy and cry their little hearts out.

It all comes down to choices for each individual player. If you don't like having choices then I guess you don't like having to choose between chocolate or vanilla Ice cream or having multiple flavors of bubble gum or skittles or skittle flavored bubble gum.
