i see warriors , drgs , and smn everywhere...is no wonder....this 3 jobs are at the top of the food chain.... Smn revamp helped , and Wars got lot of love in 3.0 (stole all the pld love i guess).

Yeah, i used to main astrologian, but i quit because i could get a relatively similar playstyle on my white mage, with better healing utility (im not so into the random buffs). Also, queueing for raids as an AST invites the possibility of getting another AST as a cohealer, and that is a terrible terrible thing.

While I've chosen to main Machinist now since it interests me more than other Jobs depending on how Red mage and/or Samurai is handled as a DPS Job will certainly determine if I switch to them or not in 4.0.
However, if a Gunblade user Job is ever released in the future I just may switch to that as my main.
I've been searching for a Melee DPS Job that would peak my interests but so far the current melee DPS Jobs do not give me the feel to motivate me enough to main one of them.

I like both monk and dragoon at the moment as my melee choice. But will see about samurai.
