Current Job Population?

So what is currently the ranking from most played to least played Main Job in the game now?

With enough time since 3.0 was released it seems the hype over jobs have finally died down enough to get a proper opinion on which is least and most played as Main Jobs for their characters.

Currently I can guess that Machinist is the least played.

Bards appears to be the most played job in the game currently.

Paladins are so underused they don't even make the list!

I disagree that Warriors are less played than dark knights.

I do agree with WHM because I always met WHM when raid/ct/dungeon. But is that Scholar really that low?

I agree Machinist and Astro do seem to be fairly low on the list, rarely do I see one and only time I see an Astro is in PvP most times.

Yeah, i used to main astrologian, but i quit because i could get a relatively similar playstyle on my white mage, with better healing utility (im not so into the random buffs). Also, queueing for raids as an AST invites the possibility of getting another AST as a cohealer, and that is a terrible terrible thing.

I'd say that based on what I run into frequently, WAR/DRK/SMN/BRD are the four most played classes, with DRG/BLM being close but not quite as many, while MCH is easily the least played class at level 60, and all the other classes being relatively even in how much they're used. I see just as many AST as I do WHM and SCH on my datacenter, so there's certainly more of them floating around than most people seem to realize.....

Ya Machinist was hyped by people to be the Job people thought would replace Bard but of course it was just all hype after all.

I main Machinist for my character because the gameplay of Machinist just flows very well once you gotten use to knowing when to use Rapid Fire and Reload/Quick Reload to the point that most of the time with GB on the only skill with cast bar would be only Slug Shot, Hot Shot, and lead Shot with all other skills being instant cast.

Of course I'm probably one of the few players in FF14 that actually enjoy Machinist gameplay style.

I enjoyed Machinist enough to actually switch from maining Bard to Machinist.

Bard is nice but if a player can't time their Iron Jaws right, either too soon or too late, they will end up having difficult keeping their DPS at a steady output. As much people constantly say "Bard does more DPS than Machinist because "this damage calculator or person" says so" this is more of a opinion based on a person who actually properly gotten use to Bard gameplay to time things properly for maximum DPS output but a person who have not gotten use to timing Iron Jaws may end up perfroming less DPS than a player that has mastered the Job's gameplay style. There is also the consideration if a person is more use to Bard gameplay style or Machinist's gameplay style because that is often a very important factor into a person performing better as a Bard or Machinist.
