Main Story Lord of the Whorl gating entry to new content

Bought the expansion this week to play with a few friends during the Holiday season. They seemed to have had no problem (luck maybe) solo queueing for this quest (One was a tank and the other a dps) I on the other hand have had 90 minute queues over 3 consecutive days; before giving up on the process. Tried both as healer and dps. Do I need to level a tank to open new content? Has anyone else had this issue in the last few days. I'm beginning to get frustrated with my purchase.

Why on earth would you gate content behind a dungeon which may or may not have the population to support it?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues queuing in. Unfortunately, normal mode primals don't see much activity these days. Have you tried creating a party finder for the duty, or doing a shout or two to see if anyone's interested in helping? I'm not sure what the restrictions on an undersized party are for new players clearing content for the first time, but you might be able to try that as an option if you're having trouble getting a full party together.

It's very likely you have multiple languages selected in your DF options. Make sure you only have English selected if you're on Ultros, since you're on a NA data center.

This won't gate you because it's in daily Trial roulettes, and many people do trial roulettes to level their jobs and get Poetics. In fact, I've gotten Leviathan Hard in my roulettes twice in the last two weeks.

I did Leviathan NM twice last week as part of the trial roulette. Honestly if its taking 90 mins for a queue something weird is going on cause it shouldn't be taking even close to that.

The buddy that is a Tank is entertaining family for a few days. The other a dps which I don't believe would help the situation..Unless you get put in front of solo queued players as a small group? We are all new to the game.

People do Leviathan NM regularly because of the roulette. Further, they made modifications to the queuing system that was supposed to put new players closer to the front on queues. I'm genuinely surprised your having an issue with this dungeon. If it was EX I could see it being a problem but not NM.

What languages do you have selected in DF? That might be having an effect.

I thought the same thing. I see people joining then leaving my duty finder. No one stays longer than 5 to 10 mins. The closest to a queue where 2 dps 1 tank and myself as a healer. They all ended up leaving the finder after 5 to 10 mins. Very odd indeed

I wouldn't read too much into the numbers shown in the DFs forming group window. Its often shuffling people around as its forming groups. Ive had it go from an almost full group to no one in the group and then instantly a full group. Im honestly a little stumped. I assume you didn't have a particular problem queuing for Moggle Mog?
