I've encountered plenty of black mages back in 2.x who seem to think that spamming fire 3 (or blizzard 3 if it's a freezemage) is a good idea. And if I dare say nicely that it's not the best idea to do, I get told that they're lvl 50 and I don't have the right to say anything. So I think it might actually help to have the -ra -ga -ja thing. I mean, in FFXII cura and curaja were party-wide heals while cure and curaga were single-target. So it's not like the change would ruin anything.

Think I also read somewhere that german and french use the -ra -ga -ja on the spells. Can't confirm this, tho.

You can't discard items directly from the retainer inventory

    In german we have

    Feuer Eis Vita
    Feura Eisra Vitra
    Feuga Eisga Vitaga
    Feuka Eiska

same goes for BLMs thunder spells

    snip

These are not tiers on the same spell. Each spell does a different thing and is used in different situations so I can't help feel it should be:

    snip

It sounds more like a family of spells, which they are.
    ^

    to stay on topic:

    - we automatically unmount when we speak to the npcs but dont when we target enemies - especially annoying when fate-ing above your level
    - annoying FATE music when gathering, mining
    - not being able to have different glamours for same roles e.g. I shared the same stuff (Diadem, VA) with my 3 healing jobs, now I bought and upgraded the Eso Robe for my SCH which I dyed metallic blue and I'd love to have matching boots BUT I have Diadem boots (which are superior to the Eso SCH boots so wont be buying them) and now I'm stuck with boots that can only fit either my SCH or my WHM/AST glamour >
    - the item limitation in houeses and the garden are sooo awful - I hate that I have to remove like half of my stuff to decorate for holidays when the stuff I had to remove was perfect where it was
    - 3 other ppl having to stand around and do nothing while crafting an air ship
    - The awful texture on so many nice things - Haurchefants shield for example... you couldn't really even make it look good in the damn trailer?? C'mon that can't be THAT complex to do
    - the feeiling that the old races need kind of an texture upgrade. In certain light it was awful making a highlander after being aura

    I'm sure there's more!

Omg, this drives me nuts. If the boss is at 10% or lower and the melee dps hadn't used it yet, I'm burning it, even if I'm a caster or a bard/machinist. Sometimes I have the feeling they just wait to use it at 3% - 1% so that they can have the epic killing blow, which is quite a bit of wasted dps.

Also, in 24-man raids, I get this uncontrollable annoyance when I see people sprinting to the next lockout entrance to get to the line first. It just looks so immature, especially with multiple people doing it it, and they have to wait for everyone to get there anyway. It just looks like a bunch of kids all like... "Haha, race you to the finish line! I'm gonna wiiinnn!" Like omfg stop acting like goddam children. I can't explain it, but this annoys me more than it should :/

The fact that Summoner has so many buttons and that SO MANY are just pet micromanagement.

If pets had better AI or if you could toggle which abilities were on autocast or if macros were friendlier...

The timing of number pop when using Royal Authority is not right...doesn't feel the hit. Only some 3.0 skills give this feeling, 2.0 skills are good.

I gave you a thumbs up on the LB part, but disagree on the 2nd half :| There really is no reason to not sprint there as a caster, so I do. It also helps when I heal so I can start casting Stoneskin 2.

When the weather changes right as I'm about to take a screenshot.

And I keep getting this annoying "error cannot read data" message when I try to move items out of my retainer's inventory. Also frequently get a "you can't sell that" warning when I try to sell (not soulbound/untradeable!) stuff my retainer just brought me on a venture and have to wait a few seconds before it'll actually let me sell it on the market board. Anyone else have that issue?

Then the issue where my enmity list sometimes just vanishes in the middle of combat (usually in alex 2) as if I've left combat, then repopulates a few seconds later. I was told this happens frequently by a few different people. Not sure if it's a bug or what.

I do it as whm so I can get to the line and start casting stoneskin II. By the time everyone catches up, most of my group members are usually in range of it.

How does disliking the fact that parts of maps and signs are difficult to read equate to hating immersion?

I can't speak to the guy you're responding to, but I personally hate the font/characters they use in signs, and the fact that you have to zoom in really far to see location names in a readable font in the minimap. I have serious vision problems and already have to scale up my UI and font sizes to be able to read the normal fonts for everything else. The way the map is just makes things super irritating. It's mostly with the minimap (half the time I forget the bigger map is even there tbh >.>) but still.

If anything it breaks immersion because I'm stuck messing with zooming in and out to try to make out wtf the words actually are. I don't bother trying to read Eorzean writing anymore...it hurts my eyes. :/

    - no temp blist function in 24 man dungeons to make ignoring the people who troll via /sh and /a easier and the dungeons much more enjoyable
    - the insistent need to make all special events revolve around fates
    - the overuse of fates
    - people who use fates to level and then expect patience from the rest of us when they try to learn their job in max level dungeons
    - ok just fates in general
    - Yoshi telling us all this cool stuff we want to hear then never following through
    - complete silence from SE about any direction this game is going or hotly debated subjects about tos and such
    - lalafells, although this is just a lefty wefty over wover of my hatred watred of the taru taru from ffxi-weven
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the price of extra retainers- this btw was one of the key reasons I cancelled my alt account
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the price of extra retainers
    - the insistence of making a broken crafting system relevant by forcing battle classes to buy crafted items yet not making crafters rely on battlers for things like, items for their tools or just gear itself
    - no openworld dungeons and insistence on instancing
    - watered down storylines compared to original release or IV or V or VI or IX or X or XI or XII
    - no sense of danger or doom
    - spending 15 minutes trying to find the location of a map because there are no landmarks on the map out of the bottle only to get 90 fire crystals

there are more, I'm just tired of typing lol

The server limitations excuse for a lack of currency tab.

FFXI has more than 50 (I think it's actually more than 70, but I'm erring on the low side for caution) currencies that don't use inventory space at all. Rather, they're points like MGP and whatnot that you get from their respective events. It's essentially the same exact thing as physical currency and I see no reason why XIV can't do similar. I mean, what's the difference between having 13 Primal Tokens and having an invisible Primal Token count in your currency list saying you have 13?

One saves inventory space, the other doesn't.

That's paired with physical currencies, of which far outnumber XIV's, but in some cases, you can store them on NPCs or merge smaller valued ones to make a larger one.

And this is with PS2 limitations.
