In all seriousness i dont know what people are expecting to happen on the 25th.

There will probably be 2 or 3 houses per ward getting demolished, yet ive seen alot of players seeing it as if they were guaranteed to get one of the newly available plots.


I dont really want to be that guy but with the amount of ppl trying to get a house there is a very high probability that if:
1, You dont know which plot in which ward will be demolished.
2.You dont camp in front of said plots starting from the 24th before midnight throughout the whole day of the 25th ( since we dont know the exact time ).

You will not get a house.
I wasnt joking when i said they will probably be all gone within minutes.


Regarding the OP it makes sense they didnt announce a specific time. Its to prevent too many players from doing what i said above ( ie camping in front of houses about to be demolished ).
It still gives a slight chance to the others players who werent waiting there beforehand.

Oh and i forgot to say, if you re on Moogle the small plot next to my house ( mine being mist ward 2 plot 46 ) will probably be demolished.

Dont quote me on that as im not 100% sure. But i havnt seen the owner for months now. So its worth a shot.

Yea I will look to try to get a house but I know my chances are very low and most likely not be successful

Man, there's a lot of schadenfreude about this whole thing.

Were, tons of vultures supported an unfair decay system that has no place and is soon to prove it will fix absolutely nothing. Only good thing that has come out of it is a placebo effect for the vultures, thinking they are going to have "chances" seem to ease them.

Meanwhile, we house owners can`t even take a fair break from the game (even more justified with the overall status of the game right now) and we playing against clock, which btw was implemed AFTER we had bought our properties, a rule change of this magnitude might have been well implemented on new plots/wards, but not on older ones, how many players with a house now would haven`t bought one if they had knew they were going to compete against such a thing?

For all those reasons, im going to enjoy with a grin to see the "no housing aviable" threads come back. And see the vultures suffering about it.

Want to know if a plot is likely to open in a ward? Give a shout and talk to the neighborhood. People who are active are usually aware of who has been playing, and who hasn't been seen in ages.

Also for open small houses, go inside and check out the basement. If it's bare, it means they haven't been arsed to refresh the decorations in over a year, which is a good sign they aren't actively playing and it's going to go poof on Christmas.

I'm 100% certain that the house immediately next to mine is going to go open, and a FC mate will be stalking it. (Bare lot, no house built, dead FC with a MIA leader so nobody can build it before demolition time.) I'm also 95% certain the medium house on the other side of mine will be open, as there is 1 member left of the FC and she's only a 52 WHM.

What you mean you can't take a fair break? What you suppose is a fair break 2,3,6 months? 45 days is plenty most people don't even get half that amount of break from their job. I do agree that not as many houses are going to open up as people think but also don't feel sorry for current house owners cause usually when people say they want to take a break it usually aka "i don't want to pay my sub"

One patch period is the consesus. The game can change a lot from one patch to the other. Thats 3 months aprox.

And no, that houses are a limited resource isn`t a good argument, in fact, supporting this decay system and it being implemented literally gave SE excuses forever to ever implement a proper housing system that is affordable and can take all the playerbase.
