Want to know if a plot is likely to open in a ward? Give a shout and talk to the neighborhood. People who are active are usually aware of who has been playing, and who hasn't been seen in ages.

Also for open small houses, go inside and check out the basement. If it's bare, it means they haven't been arsed to refresh the decorations in over a year, which is a good sign they aren't actively playing and it's going to go poof on Christmas.

I'm 100% certain that the house immediately next to mine is going to go open, and a FC mate will be stalking it. (Bare lot, no house built, dead FC with a MIA leader so nobody can build it before demolition time.) I'm also 95% certain the medium house on the other side of mine will be open, as there is 1 member left of the FC and she's only a 52 WHM.

This. I was checking yesterday to see if any plots were available and discovered that a single FC had claimed not one, not two, but five plots, at least three of which (as far as I can tell) they used alts for. Unless they have some real money-makers in there, I don't even see how they could accomplish such a feat.

...Unless Hrtsginop Gojiepwng was involved.
