Just because something comes easy to you does not mean it will be so for someone else, especially considering each servers economies are fairly different.

I agree, but you're just as guilty as I am. You want to conform the game to your expectations. Your expectations that the relic should not require crafting are not shared with everyone.

It's a legendary arm of lore, it should be a multifaceted process involving all the components of the game from crafting and fates to trials, raids, and dungeons. Just because you don't like one of those components means that it should be excluded from the process?
