Why is "It's something to do" apparently a valid defense?

Jesus, are people not allowed to just enjoy something without being criticised for it? Some of you people are so rude just because you're unhappy and can't let anyone else enjoy the content. Has it ever occurred to you that some people enjoy the game how it is?

I have seen the words salt and whining more times than I care to. It cuts both ways, until the devs respond or people unsub, which they have been doing.

Except most people who actually enjoy the patch are giving valid reasons why they enjoy it and are getting jumped on by the people who dislike it. People are allowed an opinion either way, but it isn't even intelligent argument anymore, it's just people insulting others because they have a disagreement.

Really makes me lose faith in the community when people get so angry over a patch.

It really makes me lose faith in the community when people like you outright support SE's laziness, all the while calling unsupporting players "whiners". You don't have to have a "valid" reason to like a game. I've had fun in an asia grinder for months. The game itself was trash, but doing things with friends rocked. You can't very well measure fun. But that's besides the point, since it's highly subjective.

But there's an objective way to measure content. HW is lacking in every single aspect here. 1 raid, 4 dungeons, 1 "farm raid", 3 primals. That's stuff for about a month, not for 6. I've yet to encounter any serious player complaining about the grind. Everyone complains that there nothing besides it. No story attached other than "Let's forge a weapon", no new content like the Chimera or Hydra for the original relic. It feels lackluster at best. At worst it's just the developers showing us the finger. How can you possibly defend this?

Its not just "one patch". This is several months in on content that many are not interested in doing, which was already showing its age even before 3.15. The minute the msq was done, we were back in idyllshire, doing the same things we were doing for tomes and turn ins. The relic was the breaking point for a lot of people when they saw that it was the same damn thing for a pittance of a reward.

That doesn't give people an automatic right to be rude and insulting to players who enjoy it.

@Adormus, I am not defending SE. I have made threads about certain aspects of the game I'm not happy with. Stop jumping to the conclusion that I'm defending them because I happen to be content with the game.

Right now you are basically trying to force your opinion on me because you are not happy. I am allowed to enjoy the game without being a 'FF fan', 'white knight' or trying to defend SE'.

I have a lot of spare time. I play FF for fun and if I wasn't enjoying myself I wouldn't play it. I don't need to justify myself to you because you have a problem with the game. Accept that people are happy with the patch, have you own opinion, and move on without jumping down people's throat.

Did I say that was acceptable too? I think not. But when people insult, they're not going to get a lovely comment in return.

You have no right to insult people not enjoying the game, and who are giving their arguments as to why. Or are you somehow a special snowflake and the rules you keep spouting somehow doesn't aply to you yourself?

Except the only time I have been rude is when someone has directly been rude to myself or tried to tell me my opinion is wrong. Sorry, but im not going to play best buddies with someone talking to me like crap. Again, have a nice day, and please try to enjoy the game guys.
