Also, about the WoD: first thing he does on meeting him is try to fight us? Dead giveaway that he's not actually evil. We are totally going to "befriend" his ass with extreme prejudice.

Sooo... I have to say I love Krile. Totally loved how she teased Alph, hehehe. Very funny scene. All in all, this patch had a few pretty funny scenes in it...
The WoD was a bit weak, though. Thought there would be more about them in this patch, but, well... probably because of how short this patch was in regards to story. And I really hope we will be told what's up with Elidibus, soon! This is killing me...
Wonder what's going to happen to Thancred, though. First Shtola, now him. I really, really hope both make it out in one piece after Heavensward. They are my favorite Scions >.<
About the crystals of light... does that mean our chrystals are actually pretty weak compared to the one owned by Matoya? Is our blessing not quite as strong as the one of the WoLs of past eras?
It does make some kind of sense that Hydaelyn gets weaker, though, with all those Umbral Eras. Maybe the Ascians drained a lot of aether off her already.
Btw, something slightly different. Went to a certain memorial for a certain Ishgardian knight and guess who I met there! http://imgur.com/TjSlRgK
(huh, for some reason it doesn't show the picture directly... weird.)
Looks like he appears there periodically and even talks to you. Poor guy :/

Now that we know that Crystals of Light can exists/ survive different era. It makes me wonder how and why these crystals exist? I always thought they manifested for Hydaelyn's chosen and eventually disappear.
It makes me wonder if the WoD and crew might very well be WoL from a different era?

Techiclay speaking, they already are. The Legacy storlyline, was set in the Six Astral Era anf the Calamity, with the initial Stoy of ARR an the 5 years betwen then and the Clamity being the 7th Umbral Era. A Realm Awoken and onwards is currently in the 7th Astral Era (or so we're led to believe)Now that we know that Crystals of Light can exists/ survive different era. Lol, I meant as in an era a few hundred/thousand years back.
Still, I am of the opinion this is derplander and crew. If the people can forget the WoL (and us) then I am sure they decided to remain forgotten. Ascien magic? Or could it be one of their power of the echo to be able to remove or block memories? They unless they were fighting primals

Darklander and crew were so two-dimensional I strongly suspect they're just primals based off the Warriors of Light from Cartaneau. That, and the dramatic, "We're all wearing black now," thing they've got going on.Lol, I meant as in an era a few hundred/thousand years back.

I would agree, except when Koji said that Derplander was his own person and so were the people from the cinematics and that they were out there having their own adventures. He even suggested we may run into them come time, and we finally seem to have done just that. (Side note: This is what I thought would happen when we say Darklander on the moon (still confused about that one).)

Theory about Thancred
He's aging at an accelerated rate because he lost his magick. Some clues that stick out is for one we don't know how long Thancred had been scurrying around for but I don't think his hair should be as long as it is considering the amount of time that might of passed. Another clue is Hilda calling Thancred "Old" even though he would preffer to think of himself as "gritty", just lends itself to the idea that maybe Thancred losing his magick effected him in more ways that just not being able to cast spells. If anything does carry from 1.0, Thancred saved a young Minfillia in the flashback/echo scene of an Uldah festival that took place, and yet when we see him in present day he still looks the same while Minfillia has aged into a woman. It does seem weird how Thancred appears to have no physical difference from the day he saved Minfilla when she was but a child and how he is now and now compared to how he looks now. That's my guess though I mean when you consider the witch Matoya, pretty certain she's an old relic, the whole magic thing keeping you alive idea, would anyone really doubt Thancred using it for the sake of vanity?
I remember reading somewhere, I don't know where now, that Thancred, Yda and Papalymo were using magic to slow their aging so Thancred losing his possibly COULD cause him to suddenly, rapidly age to where he normally should be.
I don't know why people keep thinking the WODs are primals or that the WOL him/herself is a primal. Considering how a primal being around ain't exactly subtle when they're just around, you would think at least one of the scions would have taken notice or that we'd be sucking the land dry everywhere we go. Don't give me that we're (including the WODs) are somehow special enough to be a primal, but without the negative aspects.

This is how I read it as well.We read that scene very differently. I read it as Eldibus pointing out what is written will happen if we stick to our current course, as something that he is trying to prevent.
Too soon to say for sure, but I don't think we've ever been portrayed as being on the "screw destiny" side of the fence.
I also don't see Hydaelyn being the "screw destiny" type.
Edit: It's also worth noting that with the Warriors of Darkness directly killing Ravana, it basically confirmed what totally-not-Elidibus-or-Elidibus'-follower Unukalhai said back in 3.0, Ravana Ex and Bismarck Ex weren't Ascian-provoked. Or, if they were, it wasn't done under Elidibus and goes against his goals. Which also leads me to muse on how much Lahabrea was acting independently.
This isn't entirely surprising, given Elidibus likely had Lahabrea/Igeyorhm killed by giving Urianger that Auracite for going against his plans.
