Yeah, this is definitely true of most 'centurion' type Garleans. Though I'm fairly certain the ones in later quests use the full gambit of Lv50 Gladiator abilities.

I think you might be a little mistaken. That should be Aulus Rem Vulso, and as I recall he had the basic pot-helm / robe motif going on. Though it's also equally possible I'm mistaken! It's been a while since I did that one.

This is actually tied to the monster model as far as I can tell, so I mean you're definitely right!, but it's interesting since again my favourite obsession Sylla does this and is discounted from being pureblood by our current knowledge. It also existed in 1.0, and upon digging up an old 1.0 Imperial Invasion screenshot I have, it looks like their "third eye window" wasn't present then! Though the angle is rough on that front, just makes me wonder if it was added to differentiate Garleans from Hyur inbetween 1.0 and 2.0.

You weren't mistaken, my point was that he was in generic uniform yet not using spells or magic based skills implying that he was a pureblood without the officers uniform the model was technically a male midlander hoplomachus that was made slightly taller than a highlander male. Another example of these purebloods are the centurions in keeper of the lake and are again much taller than the other hyurs but in generic garlean uniform and only use very basic GLD abilities.
