Scholar is an amazing job, and definitely up there as one of the best. But it's not OP. Versatility =/= OP. If that was the case, no one would bother with either of the other healing jobs, it would always be dual Scholar.

As for Dissipation, people aren't specifically looking for it to be buffed, but for it to be changed. As it stands, it's designed to be a healing CD, and yet it's only beneficial purpose is to give AF stacks to enhance our DPS. As they've seperated Scholar and Summoner more this expansion, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for our final ability to be so DPS related. Personally I don't mind the ability as it is, but to be a healing CD with the healing part completely ignored, it does seem like an ability that needs changing.

I thought that Dissipation was meant to boost SCH AOE healing. All the new skills synergize to boost SCH direct AOE healing. Probably not a big deal when healing with WHM, but maybe with an AST partner or just if you are solo healing.

Dissipation adds a 20% healing buff to the Scholar at the cost of not being able to use a fairy for 30 seconds. It also gives 3 AF stacks. Now the loss of the fairy pretty much negates the extra healing power we get, and Lustrate and Indomitability (our 2 main burst single target and AoE heals) are classed as abilities and do not receive the 20% buff. Pair this up with the fact it costs 1768 mana to resummon the fairy, plus a Swiftcast, it's pretty much one of the worst healing CDs in the game. Especially for being our 'ultimate' lv60 spell. The AF stacks are useful for Scholar opening rotations to allow you to weave in more Energy Drains. That's about it. Some Scholars will use it, and I know a lot of Scholars don't even have it on their hotbars.

For these reasons, I think it more adequate to change the spell's usage as opposed to buffing what it currently is.

Scholar isn't overtly OP in the traditional sense of the word, i.e. strictly and obviously better in arbitrary categories (like burst damage, mana management, emergency healing tools, etc). White mage and Astrologian have strengths that Scholar doesn't, so their toolkits complement one another pretty well. The reason I usually point to Scholar as an example of an OP class is because it has a vanishingly small list of weaknesses. Versatility (that is, cutting the list of things you're 1 or 2/10 at) usually comes at the expense of items you're 9 or 10/10 at to compensate. SCH's toolkit has a very short 2/10 list, but their 10/10 list isn't any smaller than WHM's or AST's; they just moved a bunch of 2s up to 6s for free.
