No Hildibrand in 3.1?

I felt it was stupid that the questline was mandatory for the trial roulette but now that the restriction has been lifted I don't see the argument here. I personally hated the Doman Adventurers Guild questline (probably due to my experience playing hide and seek in Thanalan one summers day) and decided to just not do it. If you hate a side quest chain just don't do them, but people also shouldn't try to attack others for not liking a character or storyline. Unless it's moogles, I hate moogles...

I understand the whole asian humor thing. It isnt foreign to me. It is a more juvenile kind of humor I think. The silly sound effects and overly animated actions or faces. I just dont personally see what is funny about it. I was just sharing my experience/view on the quest line. I know many like it so as said I wouldn't condone just killing it. Id prefer to see something more interesting developed with those resources though.

I'm one of those who didn't enjoy Hildibrand either. I mean for those who love it, more power to them, but I simply cannot grasp that kind of humour. Plus, and this is just my opinion here, it lacked a big detail that could've made a bit better: actual voice acting, even japanese ones if that's what I had to deal with.

I saw some scenes with some heavy weird silly noises in there but it really felt...bland. Everything had noise except them. I would've loved to hear them actually shouting stuff while hearing those silly noises but it wasn't: to me that killed what could've been a "ok" scene into a "boring" scene and I simply skipped all of them because the dialogues were dull and uninteresting. This didn't happen back when games had no voice acting.

Just to be sure: MY OPINION HERE so don't gang on me on this.

I must be the only one that loved the hide and seek with Moogles lol. I'm also sad there won't be anymore broom quests. v_v;;

I can see why a lot of people hate them but I though they were pretty easy once you figured out the almighty Z axis that's now in place.

Ah my friend. Many would disagree with this. Me and many others came from an era where voice acting was a luxury. I am one of those that prefers subtitles on in their games as I tend to understand the situation better when I read the subtitles than hearing it.

I actually loved the broom quests too.

I think my hate towards the moogle quests came from that they felt necessary to do for progression when 3.0 first launched.

I loved Hilidbrand questline. It was far more interesting, better written and had more suprising twists than main scenario in patches. And there was nice humor. So if there will not be new Hilidbrand I will be very disappointed.

More Hildibrand please devs...

Hildebrand is meant to be silly, irreverent and cartoonish.
He is a joke character and even brings other joke characters from the FF series into his questlines.
To me it is a nice change of pace and something I greatly enjoyed playing.
They shouldn't make any of the content required for Roulette unlocks or anything like that, but they should definitely continue with Hildy and other such optional ongoing sidequests and storylines.
