sorry to burst your bubble OP, but the majority of the playerbase comes from the FF fanbase, which is fond of the storyline, in every FF, this one included.

The great majority of the players enjoys the story, even as far as asking for story mode raids to enjoy every last bit of it. THAT is a fact. Also, the very reason why you get to have the HS story is because of this pre-HS section of quests. Don't want to do them ? Fine, don't ask to go in Ishgard then, as the lore says you can't.

Just to point out that you find the game design to be stupid only because you don't care of the story, which gives more than enough reasons for that particular design to exist.

Also do not worry, the next extension won't require you to complete HS.


Also, you'll most likely NEVER be able to talk to the devs. At best you can catch the attention of a community manager who will then hopefully pass the word to the devs, but the chances are really low, considering this debate is done and over since a year ago
