Then... make the trash worth killing? Make the dungeon worth exploring?
Have trash drop rare mats for relevant crafting gear that can be used to sub in tomestone gear?
Make the trash interact with the boss in some way? Killing X will change Y mechanic with the boss.
Maybe have mini bosses in the raid that have their own separate loot table?
There are a lot of things they can do to make the raids more interesting. For me, at least, making it a one and done beeline to the boss does not make for an interesting "raid."
Edit: Why the hell do iPads auto correct tomestone to tombstone?

Trash are certainly potentially worth killing, Spiritbonding springs to mind, even more so since 3.2 will be letting us meld tomestone/raid gear... I have good memories of using T1s trash to Spiritbond i70 stuff... Certainly not the most efficient way to Spiritbond, but it was two birds with one stone.

Just like in Turn 2, when you have to choose which nodes to kill, deciding what buffs the boss gets and what moves ADS will use throughout the battle. It was great to be able to choose and plan ahead to best suit the group based on the party's composition (if you managed to find a group to actually fight ADS head on).Make the trash interact with the boss in some way? Most games stick more than one boss in a raid, but most games don't impose a time limit on the instance.
That's the limiting factor.
I'd kill for a raid with 4 bosses per floor and multiple floors but we know getting anything resembling that here won't happen.
Can't they increase the time limit? I'd be hard pressed it has a hard limit of something that isn't incredibly high. We know they can do "full" raids (on a rather small scale) due to the CT series, and soon the Sky Pirate raids. I don't seen why that design can't be applied to Alexander.

Don't know.
Haven't seen a time limit over 90 minutes though.
This is probably because of server load issues. Closing the instance frees resources.
And iPad corrects tomestone to tombstone because you haven't added it to your dictionary and use autocorrect.
My phone did the same thing when I got it but now all the game jargon, including capital letters where they belong, pop up when typing.
In Everquest the "trash" dropped some of the best gear in the zone. Just rare and usually for odd slots.
Because I want my Blinds, Stuns, Binds, Sleeps, and Heavies to work and not get magically 100% resisted because somebody said so. >_>
