If you want to derp around, and perform not even mediocre, but completely terrible, you should play with only your select group that you know won't mind wiping on simple content and staying for 80 minutes in a dungeon. Few things to keep in mind:

- Some people enjoy different things in game, and want to actually clear content without having to pull a dead weight behind them
- Not everyone has a need or desire to carry players who can't be bothered to put any effort into the game
- Most people don't mind lack of experience

Playing with random people and forcing them to endure your lack of trying is silly. There is no excuse for pulling less than 30% of your possible DPS, losing aggro all the time, or letting people die, and you can't expect random people who don't know you to just carry you.

To be honest, your post is in a completely different context of the topic/discussion. The general census is that "you should not be playing deliberately bad" and your post is "you shouldn't expect the absolute best out of people". You're throwing a wet vegetable into a hot fryer rather than a pot of boiling water.

If that really was the intent of the thread, you're correct, I misjudged it. What I got from the OP was that if you're not playing your job per the current Meta, you're failing at the game and should just uninstall.
