I queued for my High roulette today on SCH, we got Wanderer's Palace. The tank haven't run the dungeon for ages, and we got lost, the Tonberry got up to us and started stabbing everyone, so while I desperately Lustrated everyone with Eos dead, we had to run to the boss room (while pulling every mob in the way and sprinting) and pull him to close the arena, my BLM friend got locked outside and died, poor thing.

It was the most fun I had in the game today. Just wanted to share and add: stop taking things too seriously on this game, maybe the fact that people not playing 100% bothers you so much is because you yourself isn't having fun with the game.

while I agree generally, and I like to support people who share your sentiment - I think topics like this are more focused on people that choose such a selfish play-style that it comes at a cost to their teammates.

people who do things like watch Netflix on the side and refuse to turn their focus to the game when their group asks them to step it up because they're struggling. Or people that outright refuse to consider reasonable, well intentioned advice about cheap equipment upgrades to bring them in line with the dungeon's ilvl. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a casual approach to video games, in fact I would say it's preferable than the one that many hardcore players bring with them. But there is no excuse for lacking the respect to at least play the game attentively.

If this was the way the OP presented his concerns, I could see a lot more people getting behind this. For better or worse, a lot of these threads seem to turn into mindless bashing and things like:

This isn't "Fight Your way."
This is "Fight this way or GitGud."

If people are intentionally being lazy, or stepping into a fight with level 15 gear, I would agree that is rude and incredibly disrepectful. Unfortunately, people can play how they want in game, and this is when you may just have to bite the bullet and exit a duty.

On the plus side, I think most people in-game do play well with each other, even when it's obvious they're on different playing levels. Forums always make things seem so much worse than reality.
