People brainstorm rotations, calculate formulae, code/re purpose programs and addons, debate, and collaborate to find the best and/or most efficient way to play their classes.

There's a reason that there is a "meta". If you're going to be hard-headed and respond with "but this is how I play" and waste other people's time, just uninstall FFXIV.

I'm looking at you undergeared, DPS stanced tanks who think they can hold aggro using taunt, Ice Mages, and 1000 DPS/second BRDs.

The Git Gud picture has lost a lot of meaning recently after YoshiP kept on saying there was no problem with mudra lag and to just deal with it... before backtracking to fix the mudra lag. Which reminds me of the time before that when he insisted there was no problem with WARs at launch and people weren't good at playing it... before backtracking to give a massive overhaul of the job. Truly, I don't think he's a metric of the git gud lifestyle.

Had 2 bards yesterday in nevereap and none of them wanted to use wanderer's minuet. But they sure as hell used foe requiem on every monsters they could see even though we did not have any magical dpsers. I mean, I understand WM isn't their favorite skill right now, but a 50 minutes run in nevereap is never a good thing.

I don't believe they were going after people that aren't max iLvl in general when bringing up "under geared", but specifically tanks that are of low iLvl for the content they are doing and are trying to rush said content in dps stance which results in them either dying really fast or not being able to hold agro because they are below the bar for stats necessary to effectively run solely in dps stance.
