How dubious it all is; you just happening to know all the pertinent details. It's a little too convenient if you ask me.

Clearly a ruse if I ever saw one. Why, If I may be so bold to say, it's almost elementary my dear Watson.

Tell me, sir, when did you sell your tongue to the corporates? And for how much? Answer me that.
but of course, your inability to counter my argument prompts the petty attempt to attack my credibility with a completely unsubstantiated accusation. Poor debaters often resort to libel, and this is no exception.

Sorry to burst a big bubble, but there's nothing "dubious" about a gaming writer knowing all the pertinent details. But I'll take it as an unintentional compliment, as it means I know how to do my job well.

Try again, so far I'll give you a 1 for the effort Could have given you a 2 if you actually went to the trouble of chosing a decent nickname, this time around, gifthorse

Uh..in game development we hire/fire/shift around people all the time as most are working as a contract worker. It's nothing new and it means nothing. It's typical practice in this field.

In game development companies that have a project they aren't confident in, tend to shift people *out* of that team (or out of the door), not in

Yea I don't know what your talking about, All four companies I have worked for never once hired a single person for a project they thought was going to fail. In fact they often pulled people off the project slowly to minimize the number of people they had to lay off when it did fail.

Where did I say I was talking about a project that's failing? Especially considering the OP's post was of a sarcastic nature? You must be confusing people's posts. I don't know which companies you worked at, but it's clearly not one that deals with contract workers and likely used stable employees.

Especially considering the project I've seen not doing well they cancelled it and shifted those members to the more AA/AAA title.

The fact is that hiring 11 employees all at the same time does mean something, that, at the very least for Square Enix' human resources department, this project isn't failing

Lmao! Everybody here is as paranoid and quick to jump the gun as after release, jesus the OP was being sarcastic, and you all jumped down his throat like he was calling hitler a jew or something.

On topic tho, this is SE the same company that was so sure this game was gonna be the revolution of MMO'S... and we all know how that went, who knows maybe they actually think they can pull it off, just to fall on their face again, i mean there is a FFXIII-2 comming out...

This project is Failing! Everyday that they dont charge they are loosing money, every patch that passes and there is no content, the game is failing, now i'm not saying the game could not succeed, but right now all is doing is failing hard.

Aslong as they have a decent playerbase that are willing to love FF14 as though its their disabled child, I don't think they're failing that much. If all of a sudden a quarter of the playerbase stormed off, then they'd be failing. I think the next couple of patches will spruce up FF14 quite nicely.

You do know with the exception of FFVII that FFXIII sold just as well as any FF game, if not better than some, right? So it's logical why XIII-2 is being released.

The only issue XIV has from a business standpoint is it's turning almost no profit, but it's not a failed project as XIV is still not only in service but is continually updated, failed MMOs are long buried in the MMO graveyard.
