Even ignore the OP which means ignore what he says.
He is downing on the player base and yet he's doing the same thing.

Once upon a time, Square Enix did in fact ignore all the player's pleas and concerns.
We got Final Fantasy XIV 1.0, and it was a catastrophe.
I can think of 3 companies that have ignored their fanbase which is putting them into the hole.
This day and age with the tech, its not a bad idea to hear what some of the fans want from their favorite gaming company's.
They even ask in surveys.

And those surveys tend to be clicked through as fast as possible, no reading what's being asked for, making that forced survey provide useless data.I'd say if SE wanted to really get a feel for what the community wanted, they'd have a short survey everyone would have to do on their next login. Know of a few MMO's that have done this, and taking 5 min every 3-6 months to provide feedback to the game, isn't really that big of a deal.
Listening to just what's posted here on the forums, or from events, is only what a vocal minority is asking for.
Making it skippable, means the majority will skip it, and you end up with a vocal minority again.
So you're complaining about people who are complaining?
So people complain about things they see as problems. They then implement adjustments to the problems, and these adjustments also have perceived problems. So you'd expect them to not complain about things they see as problems a second time?
I heavily doubt that "the same people" are asking for certain changes, and then backpedals to those changes. More likely they want further changes, or different people are complaining.
