SWTOR was another game where the player base was totally ignored for a long time after launch. (Yes, I understand it had other issues, but that was a glaringly obvious one for players on my server.) Constructive feedback with numbers and facts to back it with a sizable chunk of the population in support of it were ignored completely. It was frustrating for my friends and I to play an MMO where the devs gave off the attitude that they didn't care about the player base.

While listening to the vocal minority can be damaging sometimes, not listening at all can be catastrophic. I think the companies that do the best take in constructive feedback and filter out most of the rest.
