No, no. You say most people wouldn't rename because surnames are enjoyed by the majority. Yet at the same time say this isn't feasible because the majority would be inconvenienced.

No, I say this isn't feasible because the majority would be inconvenienced AND it will require wasting resources to put in place systems that are just going to piss people off and confuse others. THAT is why the majority already shot down this idea when a well known troll brought it up before, and THAT is why it's still being shot down by the majority now.

Going a bit off-topic but also following your comment, the option to change the name of a thread once it's been posted would be nice, I've named a thread and wished I could rename it before.

SOOO many people will be forced to change their names then... i've seen like 12 Alucard's on my server and multiple morph's etc etc. just copy and paste their name if its too long to type

even in FFXI people had super long names like Iamyouronetruelegend, and Feartheunknown, lordofallthatisunholy, alexfuriouswrath etc etc this wouldnt change anything just become a better typer or copy and paste names like i mentioned above lol
