You know how they are, any type of suggestion that involves making the game a better experience is replied with the "You want another FFXI" bandwagon

I didn't start this, but if your gonna compare the two games, then expect arguments from the other side using it as a comparison as well.

Perhaps they feel threatened that SE might actually listen and make this game a better experience for all players rather than just part of it.

I don't feel threatened by this at all. Is it not better to cater to the majority of people rather than the minority?

Nowhere in my time of playing 11 I ever felt like quitting the game, but here, only 2 years in and I already considered quitting many times and many other people feel the same way.

I would say this is more due to lack of content rather than disliking the game as a whole.I find people get bored more easily. 11 Had a lot of side content, and a lot of time sink in it. It was hard to quit because you always had a lot left to do, and just not enough time to do it.

14, in comparison, while I think it's beautifully crafted, it's missing a soul.

I would beg to differ. I Feel like its been made with just as much love and care as any older Final Fantasy game. I fail to believe that you don't think this game has a soul, but maybe you're not looking at the bigger picture. I log in and see a world brimming with life. People taking on quests and exploring a world full of wonders.

Does it really need to feel like Final Fantasy? Well of course, that's why it's called Final Fantasy XIV and not something else, so yes, it should.

Yeah, it should feel like a Final Fantasy, but I don't know what you're looking for to make it feel that way. I think it has enough to be called Final Fantasy. Every game made with the title has had recurring themes, and this game is no different.

OP, people like you and me look for the best interest of the franchise as a whole and not just ourselves. We want the game to prosper.

And you're saying we don't want the same goals? I want the game to do well, and be around for a long time to come. But changing the game, and losing people that already love the game, is that fair or right?
