The PS3 killed FFXIV

I bought my PS3 specifically to play FFXIV actually. XD I only play it on PC until then. It was just unfortunate it got pushed to a later date. I prefer my MMOs on a console or at LEAST something that lets me use a controller. (Old injury kills my hand with moving my char around by keyboard. XD)

I know a similar feeling. I bought my Xbox 360 solely for the purpose of sonic The Hedgehog games.

Although the xbox version did receive sonic360 and sonic unleashed, as well as Sonic 4 on xbla, I was a bit surprised when Sonic started coming out mostly on the Wii, which I expected at the time, would be a console that would die out quickly once the gimmick had gone.

Only thing it's really gonna kill is party lvl grinding. You still need to make friends if you wanna do the hardcore stuff. People who log in once a week to solo a bunch of leves aren't really gonna get to experience the numerous raids and HNM's and junk they are adding in. So I wouldn't worry about soro play ruining anything. Now if you look at it from a brighter perspective it may end up drawing in a whole new crowd of dedicated players who might not have otherwise given MMo's a chance by allowing them to ease in to the game with soro stuff like leves and then enticing them with all that juicy community based content... Byaaagh.

I personally find it amusing that I missed this thread because I've been playing Tales of Xillia, a console game, for about 40 hours in the last four days, leaving little time for anything else.

Think my save file from last time I played on FF7 reached well over the 150+ hour mark.

The Gil I hoarded went into symbols when it passed the 999999999 mark too just 'cos I was wondering what happened if it did, and if there was a cap.

Or when I bought FF8 and 3 days later was on the beginning of the 4th disc because I couldn't switch it off >.<
