I definitely did not take is as a guarantee, but a plan. This delay was due to a vacation, not due to some 'unexpected' delay. Therefore, if he was planning to delay it by 1.5 months, he should have told his paying subscriber base. Not telling us much sooner than just a few days prior to 3 months, in my opinion, is a pretty dodgy thing to do.
