Aye, but I don't think either of them are objectively /bad/ as people. They're just on the other side of the glass.

I think the issue is, Conquerer = Bad guy in your book. As others have stated, many people join with the garleans out of their own will, and have a good life for it.

As stated, I don't think either side is 'bad' in this. I think both are equally bad. But I do think that Garlemald is a conquerer, and thus is 'more bad' to the public eye. But the city states of Eorzea are no better in my book.

I'd rather join a conquerer with the intent to right the world through force than fight for the liberties of people who wrong others under the guise of justice.
