Sorry. Cleric stancing it with a VIT tank isn't beating a str geared/dps stance tank. Thus, fights are faster with me in my str gear. (Leave PLD out of this, they got shafted in the dps department.)

Tanks have much better reasons to use STR accessories on bosses, yes, as healer single target damage is less significant than their AoE damage. Incoming damage in most dungeon boss fights is also often lower and more manageable than most trash pulls since the expectation is to pull 2 to 3 groups at once, honestly, so healer DPS isn't lost as much on bosses when healing a STR tank. The higher margin of error still exists, though (especially since dungeon boss tank busters aren't usually as telegraphed as raid boss ones are, making cooldown timing a bit trickier).

This highlights, as usual, the need for STR and VIT to be situational and for tanks to be willing to adjust as situation dictates, understanding the value of both and when they are most valuable in their respective situations.
