Healer Confessions

Despite not doing it intentionally, I take great pleasure in spreading the healer disease in Alex 4. Usually if it's one extra person that gets it then no one else will, but whenever more than three people have it, it seems to spread faster than a STD at a rave for whatever reason.

More shameful, I've been so focused on DDing the second boss of Neverreap a few times that I don't bother curing or Esunaing the Bleeding status effect. I've had people die on me on the easiest boss in the game.

Hmm, that one time in Main Scenario DR (Castrum Meridianum), there's this tank who pulled all the mobs from start to boss 1 without trying to aoe aggro em. So, I healed him hoping he'll immediately aggroed em all but nope, all he did was doing his combo, not even a Flash, and then I died. So I told him, pls aggro em so that I could heal you, he said "I'm only interested in the boss." and I thought oh wow, okay. For the rest of the dungeon I no longer healed him and let the other healer do it. That one time when he pulled all the mobs before the final boss and the other healer wasn't around, I stood there, watching... as his health slowly slipping away and finally reached zero. Twas... kind of satisfying tbh. :3

Ohhhh I got a few:

The very first time I ran Aurum Vale I didn't watch a guide for it. We get to the Coincounter and the party explains the strat to me, but everything just went in one ear and out the other... Stood in every glower possible, got hit by Eye of the Beholder, and to top it off I had really bad reaction times. I died countless times on that boss, but we defeated him just before the duty timed out. Whoever I was partied with, here's a very late sorry LOL!

One time during the Ultima fight in Praetorium I noticed a black mage spamming physick on themselves, even with more than half hp. I got annoyed and said, "You don't need to use physick, I won't let you die", but in the time it took for me to type that, one of the airships came down and killed them. Yeeeaaa, sorry not sorry o3o

I left a duty because I had to eat breakfast before (I told the party too)

Kind of off topic, but still something that happened while I was healing:

I met a tank during a Singularity Reactor run that said he was cooking chicken. I noticed he went afk for a little bit, and then came back and said he had to turn the chicken. I don't know if he was lying or not, but it made me laugh >w>;

It happened today at the second set of mobs in the Fractal Continuum. So I'm laying on the floor, healing/DPSing as WHM, when suddenly my puppy runs over chasing the older dog. She steps on the keyboard and completely turns off the HUD. Literally nothing is on the screen. I'm scrambling, pressing every button to try to turn it back on and heal. I can't type to tell my party to wait and they move on to the third set of mobs while I'm casting random spells and pressing random macros. I had to reset the PS4 to turn it back on because nothing was working. Needless to say, I was kicked by the time I loaded the game.

I don't heal some people out of spite. If they say something mean to me or tell me that i suck / dont know what I'm doing.
I usually let them almost die before i start healing them again.
Dont like my heals then i won't heal you.
You can't expect a service while simultaneously degrading those who provide it for you.

I normally try not to do this. But occasionally I follow some advice given in this Youtube video I did let a dps eat the dirt after repeatedly insulting me. And I must say it felt good playing God

I once let a WAR OT die in AN4 because he was giving me attitude. He didn't want to intercept any orbs/tethers/dolls and told me (the WHM) to do it because he "didn't want to". So I waved /goodbye to him as he got sucked into quarantine with 1k HP. The SCH didn't mind.

During Leviathan Extreme raid, another healer never cast AOE healing skill or heal the Sub-Tank because afraid of "Briny Mirror" debuff on Sub-tank which required 16 stacks to trigger the stun effect. Whenever Leviathan used AOE damaging skill, I've Divine Seal + Medica + Medica II to heal the team and emote /slap another healer until my debuff goes off. At the end, Sub-tank died to Leviathan's tail 3 times (Swiftcast and Raise after he died) because I've only cast stoneskin + regen on him as a White Mage to wait debuff goes off (while /slap another healer).

I guess if we're doing this, I might as well add mine in.

So once there was another healer in a raid with me, a WHM, and they were refusing to leave cleric stance, which made me a very overworked AST. Anyway, eventually I ran out of mana, so everyone died and blamed me for "Not healing enough". So I left and entered with a team of people who I know really well.

That run was so much better too, because most of the stuff that dropped was healer gear

I like to wait for the SCH, AST or PLD to Stoneskin the entire party before I swiftcast Stoneskin II. Sometimes I stare them in the eyes before doing it.

If you cast protect after I already have protect on the party, I WILL cast protect again, also whilst staring at the other healer's eyes.

I did it first. the protect is MINE.

so this one time in The Aery as a WHM, this Derpgoon kept getting hit with everything so the first boss he ignores the one hit kill move and I res him thinking oh maybe a mistake but sooner realized by the second boss that he was ignoring all impending dmg and mechanics cause I was stupidly healing him so he stands in the boss point blank aoe and takes massive dmg and got poison, he yells out "regent plz" I ignore him he then dies lol then I reply "I'm sorry FC chat was taking over my chat and that the tank was almost dead" lol the tank a WAR just burst out laughing and proceeds to tell the DRG to get Gud haha

So wrong but felt so right
