What Roles would you like for Samurai and Red Mage?

I Want SAM to DPS, i will love to use Katanas, and if you think how samurai irl used to fight don't make sense tank samurai, totaly making a macro whit "Tsubame Gaeshi" (Koijiro is the best guy in the fates series).
For red mage i will love to see a Mage TANK, whit suport skill for others tanks and party members.

Red mage: physical melee dps/long range magic dps/healer, however red mage does not regen mp during battles, bards can sing for them though.

Healing samurai. You heal people by attacking them. Spirit stance for healing attacks and rage stance for attacking. Aoe healing is done by committing seppuku.

i don't see the point to add another tank jobs for now....
plus Yoshida have said it himself, SAM will be a dps.

i will have get hybrid for the redmage, i feel they will try something along this line.

I don't see the point of adding a new DPS job for now they have the most variety visually, thematically and sets wise. We already have a copy of a Dps job so as to give an extra class(I'm looking at you MAchinist). See how well this argument works?

Samurai: Melee DPS, Specialty: Techniques, samurai can spend more tp for "techniques" similar to DRK usage of MP and Dark Arts. Techniques range from crit buff, to AoE to Attack speed up and so on Subjobs: LNC/PUG

Redmage: Tank/Support Hydrid, Can tank 4 mans just fine, but in 8 mans does better as OT and uses En spells and such to support team. Speciality: Dualality, Learns 2 skills instead of one (per level skill up), White/Black White spells are healing and Black are DPS Each use of Black increases damage but decreases healing potency, White is vice versa. Players will need to decide which is more beneficial Subjobs: All and gets 10 instead of 5 slots.

RDM as a melee dps with magic themes and feel. Possibly using a rapier and DEX armors, to share itemization with the ninja.
Samurai as high DPS stance dancing off-Tank to have someone compete for the spot currently dominated by WAR.

Ninjas could be considered a dual sword wielding class at this point, the size of their "daggers" are like half the size of my character...

I'm not a fan of dual wielding though, or mudras.

Two of red mage's defining traits(sword and black magic) are damage related, so I imagine they'd be DPS. Probably caster with some sort of melee utilization, which Yoshida has talked about wanting to add in the past.

I suspect samurai would be DPS since there'd be a lot of aesthetic overlap with dark knights otherwise, and because there hasn't been a new strength DPS since launch.

It's blue mage that's the wildcard, though who knows if that's happening.
