Does instant transportation effect game immersion?

if you like ff11. go play that. this is not ff11 and we are gonna have faster means of travel. thats a fact. get over it. and as your thread states most people do not want to walk and thats not fun.

You must understand what keeps people playing is fun (WoW) not immersion (FF11) (WoW 10 million subs FF11 500k subs? if that)

Copying the guy who has experience and the best product isn't going to work when you can't make a product that comes close. FFXIV's only solution is to become unique and have distinctive features. As a STORY BASED RPG FRANCHISE you would think story and immersion would be an obvious pick Seriously, this is final fantasy... what FF have you played where you warp around?

You are gonna blame f14 subs on the fact that ONE YEAR after a failed launch and horrid reviews that SE finally puts in a faster means to travel via airship??

On to the second horrid point you made.
Wow again really!? You would rather SE copy idea from ff11 which never got 1 million people to sub for any long period of time then to copy WoW which has had 10 million subs + for 5 years now? REALLY? (personally i played ff11 for 6 years over wow so i do like ff11 better but i want a huge population and ff11 never had that. So i understand that things like 2 hour walking to get to camp is just not fun for everyone.)

O and FF11 has tele/warps everywhere BTW.
