Also, Midgardsormr's "origins" state that he was charged with overseeing the waters and magic by Althyk and Nymeria when Silvertear Falls was created. However, Midgardsormr makes no mention of The Twelve when recounting his arrival on Hydaelyn. As for what Midgardsormr was doing? He was sleeping. That's not even a sarcastic answer, for he supposedly went to sleep after his children left. The Agrias is what woke him up when it made its way to Silvertear Falls, and Midgardsormr woke up, crushed the ship, and then crashed with it back in to the lake.

As for The Twelve? I have a theory that The Ascians are what's left of The Twelve after they ascended to Godhood. Almost like shadows cast as Hydaelyn's light spread across the land.
I guess that's what happens when you're an immortal space dragon; you settle in for a good night's sleep and suddenly close to 10,000 years pass.
