Life's a tease.
Honestly if the character was a 57 Dragoon then they shouldn't need an explanation for ANY lvl 50 HM dungeon.. Obviously the healer and other DPS could have carried them through so it wouldn't have mattered anyway and if the DRG needs to know mechanics than it should be the DRG's responsibility to find them. Holding other people hostage by taking a slow pace intentionally should be worthy of a kick in my book.
Generalization is never good. I know someone that any dungeons he ever did, were the story dungeons...NONE others and he is lvl 60...what were you saying again ?Honestly if the character was a 57 Dragoon then they shouldn't need an explanation for ANY lvl 50 HM dungeon.. Mei

And this attitude right here is why gates were introduced in dungeons. Thank you for so clearly illustrating it and for being one of those responsible for the existence of said gates.Honestly if the character was a 57 Dragoon then they shouldn't need an explanation for ANY lvl 50 HM dungeon.. purposefully not entering a fight that you could have, for whatever reason could be seen as harassment to him. Whether the scholar chose the right reason for kicking when he selected offline makes little difference. If he felt your "lack of participation" in the last boss was trolling, thats classed as harassment and he had the right to kick you. If he thought that you weren't trolling and you were AFK, he had the right to kick you. Either way its pretty easy for him to make his case.
I am just replying at this point as its entertaining, but have no issue with you or anything, if we ever meet again in dungeons, I'll happily go through them and have a laugh about it (during the day my keyboards in so I type), but I just don't think anyone either you, nor the scholar done a whole lot wrong, you both done what you felt was right at the time, and I voted the same way
What Akyuyo meant, was that if you were to go back and do the HM dungeons you wouldn't need to pay attention to the mechanics of the fights really, even though you would be synced down, you would take less damage, do more damage and generally not have to worry about anything in there anymore
Really tho... you are suggesting every run everywhere should go at a fairly slow pace with everything explained, because someone you once knew hadn't done every dungeon and it might be them?
Starting to question why I even read these forums, the things people write are the most ridiculous things ever
And yet this is the design of the game, and nobody is forcing anyone to play it. If someone dislikes the design they have the option of finding a game with a different one.Not everything has to be perfect. And one guy wanting to jump through all the hoops cleanly for fear of being blamed if it goes wrong otherwise, doesn't make that okay for the other three who need to get to bed before work the following morning. If anything, the amount of up-votes the comment got is probably more reflective of the dissatisfaction players feel, when they're forced to repeat two year old content for the benefit of newcomers, just to gear up at end game.
It's a mistake to take one's frustration with the design out on other players who are playing the game as intended. When someone queues for a dungeon they should be aware that it can a) potentially take up to 90 minutes, b) have a team comprised of new players, and c) time is going to be spent explaining encounters to these new people.
None of that is unreasonable. What is unreasonable is the player that expects everyone to race through content just because they made the mistake of signing up for a group activity they clearly don't have the time or patience for. While grinding I prefer speed as much as the next guy, but I always go into these runs prepared for with the expectations I listed above. If things progress much faster than that, then fantastic, but it's the exception, not the rule.

When in doubt - ask.
"Bigger pulls ok?"
"Do you know this fight or would you like me to explain?"
If they don't answer, I, as the tank, will set the stage for the battle and take things slower.
