One time an ex FC leader went nuts on everyone when he was drunk, and caused everything to collapse in just one night, now most hate him. I'm still cool with him tho.

I get more weeded players than drunkards, but they're usually funny and they're not that bad.

To be Fair as a "Drunk Gamer" I don't bother playing DF because some of you "high on life" players still can't; Out DPS a drunk Tank, Out DPS a drunk DPS alt job or Follow mechanics better than the drunk you are trying to blast.

After wiping in A3 for 20 mins because some non drunk kept screwing up I became pretty sober, DF is actually a waste of good alcohol.

Also there is a difference between Drunk and Hammered I've never seen or myself been to the point that I can't still play with most of my common sense still intact.

Here is a real fact, most DF players are bad w/o being drunk so at least we have an excuse.

Should add some kind of puzzle to the DF queue so that if you are mentally incapacitated you can't actually queue up

Has to be hard enough (and randomised to avoid cheat sheets) that if you can beat the puzzle you will be able to manage OK in the dungeon.

A player being drunk is just like anything else. If they're holding you back that badly, that's what vote kick is for. I've only had problems twice with people so drunk that they couldn't actually function. Once it was a healer that was so drunk she couldn't even keep me standing through normal trash packs in AK HM. The other time was a dps that kept saying 'brb beer' every 2 minutes. Both times we kicked and replaced and were fine. Hell, my static's BLM was hammered so badly he was barely coherent on our first T12 clear (static was done for the week, and we happened to hit him up to join the group only minutes after he got home from a night at the bar, lol).

This was the first thing I thought of when I read the thread

But maybe something like follow the straight line as well, why can't we have 10 min of tests before you queue up just to make sure that you're actually fully conscious xD

I've experienced a number of players who claim that they play better while drunk/high. This may or may not be true; since they've always been drunk or high while I've encountered them in-game, I never have a "sober version" against which to compare their performance, so I can only take them at their word. But of these players who supposedly play better while drunk/high I've yet to find one that plays WELL while drunk/high.

I think it's less likely that they honestly believe that intoxication improves their performance, and much more likely that they just like being intoxicated in general and use this as an excuse when folks ask why they're slurring into their microphones.

If they could get away with an excuse like this outside the game, I'm pretty sure they'd also claim that they sing better when drunk/high, operate heavy construction equipment better while drunk/high, perform neurosurgery while drunk/high...

I haven't drank in a while but I used to get intoxicated and then queue or join party finders for Titan EX just to go "LOL GUYS IM DRNK AND STILL PLAYING BETTAR THAN U".

It was only funny because it was true.
