First of all I know that SE implement the extended log out process to prevent RMT from trading gil and items within the same account. However, I believe this system hurts the players more than the RMT it was meant to protect against. RMT has found plenty of ways to circumvent this process and it has done little to nothing to stop their business. However, as a player who has moved to place with poor internet options its really tough completing any duty when the game takes so long to log you out after a very brief disconnection. In most cases my internet completely loses signal for about a second and then immediately comes back. Unfortunately the servers don't pick that up and I end up being disconnected even though my isp already regained its signal yet the servers are unable to pick that up so I end up being booted back to the title screen. Then I have to wait 2-5 minutes (while constantly cycling through the title and character select screen just so I can log back in one second faster) for the servers to finally log out my character so I can log back in after my disconnect. This process can repeat itself about two to three times in a dungeon. A good amount of people are patient with me for it but, I think SE can really alleviate this problem by at least removing some of the restrictions of the log out process after a disconnection so that its much faster to log back in. I know I'm not the only one that has had to deal with this issue when playing FFXIV and I've seen other MMOs with a much less punishing process for logging back in after a disconnection. I know I can't enjoy progression and harder end game material this game like I used to because of sporadic lag issues but, I'd like to at least enjoy the dungeons designed for all players to complete. At this point its just becoming increasingly harder to do that due to the current system.
