First off wd is estimated at close to 10 of a primary stat so the weapon is almost double the chest piece.

Second I included a qualifier that said assuming no alex gear - obviously obtaining BiS by mixing and matching with savage gear will change things up a bit but it's too individualized to fit in the context of what my post was trying to get at.

My mistake, I did not see the part about no savage drops. And I did not hear that wd was being estimated at close to ten. Between that and what ss I am curious to find out more about our stat weights.

That's based off of the DRG estimate. BLM/SMN and WHM/AST/SCH have a much lower weapon weight, because we don't derive damage from our autoattacks in the way that physical classes do. This, in turn, drives the value of secondary stats up, which is why we're having this discussion.

The hive weapon is still better than the Eso weapon. If you use eso weapon you just lose almost 100 crit. But maybe it's just a matter of taste.

I'll don't change my hive weapon for the news actual weapons personnaly. I can't lose too much crit.

EDIT: I just read some comments and I'm probably wrong. I don't know. But still prefer to buy gear and jewelry pieces first. I can reach 800 crit but don't know how much %crit is.

Accessories are basically the worst thing you can spend it on with the exception of your ring that lags 10 ilvls behind.

Giving up ilvl for crit is a bad idea.

It's two weapon dmg off Hive weapon. It's not worth the stats you could be getting from multiple pieces of gear(even defense from chest). Unless you have access to a4 upgrade, it is not worth it.

If you have access to A4S and down it... then go for the Gordian Codex !
Both gordian AST & SCH weapon are good
WHM have a choice depend of their play style (Crit or SS)

No its not. At the moment it is not the biggest upgrade for SCH I even heard bards being unhappy about their bow upgrade. Fact is you can get 2 body pieces at the moment and get the same benefit you'd get from the weapon, especially if you want to hold onto every crit stat you have.
Personally I'd recommend going for body and boots or hat.

Then those bards are stupid. They're already far enough behind in WD even at the same ilvl, dropping ilvl for secondary stats that have been majorly scaled back in 3.0 is idiotic.

Crit chance has also been scaled back greatly and forgoing ilvl to stack it is also stupid on sch.
