    Well I've heard rumors Gauss Barrel was originally going to be unique on each Gun to suit their appearance but that is just a rumor I heard.

    If the rumor is true then they may have designed Gauss Barrel to be like this now due to the developers needing to constantly make a new Barrel Design on every each current gun and future guns if they kept the old plan.

    Though it would be nice if SE would give the players the option to hide the Gauss Barrel when it is active.

    Didn't SE say somewhere that they were originally going to give MCHs other types of attachments besides Gauss Barrel?
