Reminds me of a fight in SWToR. Was a mini boss for everyone, with different levels of HP. the tanks and healers got the lower HP ones and the DPS got the higher ones. you couldnt help each other too. So everyone had to defeat their own mini boss.

Someone that's going to be that cruel to you is already cruel, parser or no. The difference is, instead of spitting numbers at specific people they're just liable to rage at the entire party and then quit. Anyone that's actually interested in teaching or helping knows that it's important for criticism to be constructive and not abusive. "Here's how you can do it better" is much more likely to be met with a positive result than "you suck, go die in a fire" and most of us already know that. Just because assholes can use parsers doesn't mean all parser users are assholes.

What could work for those who wants to improve is a player parser where no one else but themselves can see their scores.
If it's on the low side, they can seek help from others or friends/fc and practice with them. Not go into DF with randoms and get cursed at from hell.
I would use it and see what I could do...but you can't force people to use it and there will still be bad players. You cannot fix laziness.
Lazy/bad people will just lie about their numbers, possibly going as far as to doctor up screenshots.

If you can be alarmist, so can I.

But DPS races like that aren't fun, at all to me.
Most of the time you're just pointing fingers at who's doing bad at a guess.
Wrong. If you have a parser running you know who the weak link is. The idea isn't to berate them and make fun of them till they leave the party. The idea is to figure out why they have low DPS. Are they dying? Are they misusing or not using skills? Are they undergeared? There's all sorts of things that cause low DPS. Unfortunately, none of them can be fixed until that player admits that they are, in fact, capable of doing something the wrong way.

The good ol' times of Titan HM and outlasting the boss with three healers, for the lack of real DPS check. Add in a Bard or two and you'll have unlimited MP for your healers.
Yeah, I kinda fell into that one forgetting about bards and their MP regen songs... though honestly they don't really stop people from going oom as much as make it take longer.

And here, you're dead wrong. Sometimes rotations (in particular, oGCDs) have to change as you gear up, due to Skill/Spell speed. More SSPD == Shorter time between GCDs == less room for your oGCDs to go in. This can, depending on your latency and the specific oGCDs, cause GCD clipping to occur, which is almost always a DPS loss. Mostly an issue for MNK and NIN, tho.

Dancer is a physical hybrid melee/range class, not a true ranged class. I love it.

DPS need equal accountability as the healers and tanks.

    I play DPS.
Thank you for saying this. Took the words out my mouth and other tanks/healers alike.

DPS are baby-fied and hand held too much in this game.

Shitty DPS is really obvious in Bismarck during the snakes and last phase.

If the DPS that had healthier snakes are the same ones who dropped less than 10% of the chitin, you don't even need a parser to tell them that they're not playing as they should.

Healers and tanks deal with mechanics while healing and tanking. DPS should be able to DPS while dealing with mechanics as well.

If you are getting a dps loss, then you can just wait. >.> Like wtf is that even an argument? "I lost dps because I was pressing buttons too fast".

When a wipe happens it's always someone elses fault and not your own, right....

I see it happen all the time,

nobody want's to communicate (dungeons especially), and when a fight that requires coordination comes up, guess what happens, the non coordinated kids fail and run to the forums/blame others.

It's easy to point fingers at people behind a monitor, or you could grow some, help the person who is failing instead of just qqing and disbanding.

There will always be someone underperforming in RANDOM PUGS, if you can't figure that out then stop pugging.

Smart post lol. Next you're gonna tell me that the failing person is the one who will be willing to communicate and that the ones wanting to kick/leave don't. Look at your post that I highlighted in bold and then added italics. Cut it out with the BS.

I never will get how people can spit out this hypocritical piece of an excuse.
You act like you are completely the victim here but did you forgot that YOU are the one letting the team you join down?
But no, the players that actually do their job are the ass here.
