If that's the case, then they should just remove the belt slot and distribute the belt stats to the body and legs. As it is now, it just seems pointless.Designer Time limitation, not PS3 limitation.
SE announced back in 1.23 that they remove the visible belts in ARR so the designers can create more varied gears in shorter time (can create the belt region how they want instead of making sure that every belt fit to the gear).
My biggest transmog issue in wow: finding belts that don't look like ass.

While I don't doubt that, I played 1.0 and there was no way a PS3 could have handled that. My gaming laptop, an Asus g53sx could just run it at medium settings. I dare not imagine how they could have even begun that port.Crystal Tools was designed for the PS3. It was later ported the 360 and PC.

Personally don't care about not being able to see belts, one less armor type to fill my retainer with for glamour, they're full enough already.
Open character sheet, there you go, can see ya belt ^_^ :P
I'm all for this! Some of the belt icon art is pretty neat.
