Yeah, can we get some confirmation that Optimal Rank will still exist for future crafted gear? I honestly think that's the best solution, Optimal on crafted gear/Required on NM/dungeon gear.
I'm fine with this but stating both within the same paragraph like that, specifically mentioning that "Crafted gear will change" still makes me suspicious that optimal will be slowly weaned out of the system and replaced with new recipes that are the same, but with a required rank status. :S Hope I'm wrong though...Just seemed to be a funny thing to post side by side....
Bay is posting about two different things OW. He just simply said them together in the same paragraph so it could be confusing I guess.I'm fine with this but stating both within the same paragraph like that, specifically mentioning that "Crafted gear will change" still makes me suspicious that optimal will be slowly weaned out of the system and replaced with new recipes that are the same, but with a required rank status. :S Hope I'm wrong though...Just seemed to be a funny thing to post side by side....
Loot gear and rank:
Introduction of new recipes, so old items will soon phase out (because you can't make them anymore):Moving forward, gear that is introduced from notorious monsters and other such content will have requirements placed on them as we will be phasing out the "Optimal Rank" system for that loot.
With new recipes being introduced in 1.19, the old recipes will be lost and it will not be possible to make that specific piece of gear anymore going forward. (For example, please see [dev1016] where it shows the change from a Hempen Doublet to a Hempen Doublet Vest)
I think Bayohne did it intentionally just to see what would happen.
