I like the changes...I bitched about it at first, but I like it. Those numbers look nice too when you are bursting.

Yeah it might be level or gear related or something but holy hell it feels weird.
Just wish it didn't feel so odd. Want to give us cast times great. Go for it.. But ones that short tell me its *only* purpose was to keep you from moving, except I still kinda can because stutterstep works...
The wanders Minuet short casts times are good because it gives you time for short movemesnts after each cast if need be. If you're moving around more than what you can afford in that time you should toggle it off until you have time to sit and turret out some dps. A lot of veteran bards don't like it but as a 182 bard I can say it's just SE rewarding us for knowing fights well enough to know when to move and when you stop and dish out higher dps. The bard skill cap has been raised a lot and a lot of people are having problems with it
The more you are on WM the better you'll get. You'll get used to it. A bard friend of mine is doing really good damage while singing 70% in savage. Bard really shines on multiple targets if played correctly. Don't let all these threads get to you.
Actually a lot of bards like the playstyle. I certainly miss weaving 2 ogcds, but otherwise it's a refreshing change that adds further challenge.
Calling BS on that one. I'm not lying when I say all of my bard friends hate WM. Judging between them all being savage raiders and the hate on the forum, it's definately a small minority that do actually like WM.
I honestly liked bard because of the low skill cap and utility.
My class preference has always been utility > heals > dps >>>>>>>> tank.
Played both dirge(melee buff oriented bard) and illusionist (caster buff oriented enchanter) in EQ2.
I'm a savage raider and I don't associate myself with the hate on the forum. In fact the only hate I perceive from the people on the forum who seem to do raiding is on the clunkiness, and not the style.
Sure, bloodletter naturally cooling down and procing from rivers of blood dot crits at the same time during a cast and resulting in a lost bloodletter boils the blood, but otherwise pretty cool changes at expansion.
I'm with Sessurea on that one. I quite like WM, more precisely I'm used to it now it doesn't bother me that much anymore.
Straighter shot & Bloodletter procs are still annoying though.
At first the change in playstyle was a bit brutal, but the more you play with it, the more you know the fight, the funnier it gets. And yes, I'm wandering in Savage as well.
Quite the small sample size. Let's do this same thing from my point of view. All of my bard friends enjoy the changes. Judging between them all being savage raiders it's definitely a small vocal minority that keep whining on the forum.
