Like Kit-Kat said, when people have done the same dungeon over and over and over, people just wanna get it over with.
Some new players are happy to advance faster as some wanna speed-lvl through it all.
But left are those that wanna enjoy the dungeons.
When I see that someone's new in a dungeon I usually take detours so the new ones can get the dungeon explored achivement as I know most groups would not do that. Had plenty of ppl that didn't get the achivement due to just that. It is kinda sad that new players are robbed of the whole "ooooo, neet" experience when doing a dungeon/story dungeon, especially when missing alot of Cutscenes due to speedrunning. Sure one can watch it later in an Inn, but the feeling of the moment is gone by then.

You sir are one of the reason why I like FF:XIV. The same goes for those who do the main scenario and want to watch the cutscene in game instead of those in the inn. Take time to ask. Sometime it's all what it need.

Actually, if you skip cs inside an instance you only get the opening cs and ending one recorded at the inn.
None of my characters have any cutscenes from inside dungeons unless i got to watch them inside first. Examples: We all know there's tons of them in Castrum? All I got stored at the inn is Raubahn's big speech outside before it began. Nothing from inside. Praetorium? All I got was the mad dash at the end on the reaper mount...so skipping is permanent loss. Unless you can find them on Youtube like I did.

You don't need to watch a cutscene all the way through for it to appear in the journal. Your issue would be how cutscenes, even from the same dungeon, are sometimes split up into different categories in the journal so you're simply overlooking them. Check again and I promise all of them are there.
