R20-22 today, unlocked S8 after going S6 > S7.

That was our path when it unlocked as well, I also think the proximity theory is starting to hold water. Keep those reports coming in!

Just curious, does it say anywhere in your flight log that sector 8 was unlocked? For us, previous sectors showed up in the flight log when they were unlocked but not sector 8. Not sure if that has any significance at all.

I didn't see any mention of discovering a new zone in the flight report, no. I already sent it back out so I can't double check that though.

I've been a bit slacking on taking note of the amount of component points available for each rank. I think it would be a great addition to your guide. I dont even recall if it was a linear increase or not. xD

So far it is a linear increase, which is why I just have the basic stat bonuses/penalties in my stats section. All of the bonuses are in increments of 14, and all the penalties are in decrements of 4. If that changes I definitely will add more detail!
