    bestiary or expand the hunting log

    Please could you expand the hunting log it would be a great way to see where certain mobs drop skins for crafting. I know other players have suggested a bestiary in the past, but this is a system that is already in place and surely wouldn't take much work to expand?

    The Hunting Log is pretty much obsolete content sadly (which was only used for levelling the initial classes), that SE replaced with The Hunt.

    Crafting materials are pretty obvious about where they come from in a general way anyway, and there's always websites that deal with that (even the Lodestone).

    It is only annoying when materials come from other sources like, Ventures, Submarine/Airship missions, Tomestone or Scrip vendors.
    Unless you remember all these things there is no way to see ingame where the stuff comes from.

    Not really it's extremely loose for skins. Yes it tells you the level so you can work out which zone but you still have to waste time travelling the zone till you find the mob. The whole guide thing is flawed as you shouldnt have to go outside the game to find something in the game. Fishing tells you the spots where fish are, mining tells you the area where the item is and botany tells you where the trees are to gather. So why can't there be a system that shows you the area where skins can be found?

    The idea is nice, but it would make obvious that the over-world is not made for players.
    There are like 10 br'aax spawn that should provide hide for the whole world, with an abysmal drop rate.
    A while ago with low gear I could loop (a lot) more than half before they respawned, earning on average enough hides for 1-2 craft a loop.
    It's not a viable option for more than one person farming.

    It's cause they dont want you farming the mobs, as they are so obsessed with FATES.

    Farming Materials/skins from Enemies is not really a viable strategy, you either send retainers to collect them or buy them for gemstones from fates.
    The enemy density and respawn times is simply too low to make this time efficient.

    You would need to be able to onehit each enemy to make this worth the time.
