No one? xD
No one? xD
Well I mean, obviously that's the ideal, but if my hand were forced I'd probably off Minfilia.
After Alphinaud comes into his own as a diplomat she's pretty superfluous aside from her sex appeal, which the Scions never capitalized on with something like cheesecake recruitment posters for the Crystal Braves.
I never played 1.0, but she strikes me as a replacement for Louisoix in the same way that, for several years, Lor'themar was just a replacement for Kael'thas. Despite how much screentime Minfilia gets, she doesn't really seem to develop that much as a character. It's something subtle as well. She's very... predictable. Someone dies? She gets sad, mentions how they have to move on. Having a bad day? Lean on the Warrior of Light. She rarely seems to make decisions either. It's mostly...
*Scion runs up*
Scion: A Primal has awakened!
Minfilia: We should do something about that. Well, good luck, Warrior of the Light.
I wouldn't want them to die, but loss is good for development, no matter how heartbreaking it can be (looking at Moenbryda and specifically the end of The Vault T^T). That aside, if I had to choose one, Minfilia draws the short straw here as far as dumping the least effective character. For drama and tragedy's sake, either Papalymo or Yda.
You sum it up nicely for me. Now, I feel with Lor'themar, the mistake was not developing his character right off the bat; he was a relatively empty slate, unlike Minfilia, but that made him an easy fix. His sudden prominence in Mists was a bit jarring at first, but he turned out alright, I guess (still not particularly my favourite). You pretty much nailed the problems I have with Minfilia though. We see and interact with her a lot, but, she leaves much to be desired. On the flip side, the points you mentioned could be really just be the point of Minfilia's character and personality (but that's just... bland?).I never played 1.0, but she strikes me as a replacement for Louisoix in the same way that, for several years, Lor'themar was just a replacement for Kael'thas. I will say she can make decisions from time to time and there always will be a need for someone delegating work loads, but Minfilia seems like the manager that doesn't do much else aside from delegate, and that's boring in a story and not particularly useful in a working sense.

Ok then Minfilia too jajajajWell I mean, obviously that's the ideal, but if my hand were forced I'd probably off Minfilia.
