Make your weapon invisible then. It's impossible to fix, just deal with it. The worst is when you have a robe with a fat hood and your staff clips right through the bottom of the hood and comes out of the top. It looks really silly.

In FFXI, PLD's shields floated 6 inches away from their left arm at all times and it looked kinda silly.

It's an NPC. I have no control over NPC's. And trying to compare a 13 year old game to this is completely asinine and invalid.
