This is one of the things I really like about GW2 gear, that most gear will be wearable across genders, with some sets having specific male and female versions to keep it balanced. If a gearset gets released, it's either unisex or there are specific male and female sets, not a set for guys and two sets for gals, so both genders have the same access to gear and themed sets. Guys can also get some more revealing pieces. The only problem it runs into is if you don't like a certain look, you can't always get the opposite.
