The best solution I can think of is have 2 looks to each piece of gear, 1 that was designed for females, and the other for males. No gender restrictions. You would be able to select which version displayed on your character, so you could have the male version on female character or female version on male character.

Personally, I like making my guy look as slutty as possible, but it's easy to get tired of Taffeta Shawl + Couerl Beach Maro after a while. Moar options please.

I agree. It seems redundant to have the same concept of swimsuit for males and females be different items. I mean the Patrician set has very different looks for m/F and the Thavnairian Bolero and Kirimu Coat add bras for females. When it's a dress, why can't guys get a long flowing coat at least? And for the Bustier I, as a female, am VERY disappointed that it's one piece. For something like the wedding dress it makes sense... But the Riviera dress and Thavnairian Bustier make no sense as one pieces...

the bustier is a one piece so you can opt to wear the sexy fishnets by themselves

Which would be cool if I could wear them at all. Squeenix. I want fishnets.
It was one thing to make the Bard heels stupid ugly wedges for the men but come on. Fishnets. Give me.

Man this is so clear. These Clothes where clearly designed to compliment a well formed female Body. Not a masculine Male Body.

I'm getting the creeps already when i see these "Man-Whores" running around in the Cities, with nothing but some "Man Tanga", Boots and a Hat. Utter disgusting! Thats not Fashion in any Sense it's plain creepy and ugly to watch at.

Girls or Women on the other Hand can be complimented by male Fashion too and choose the more "tomboyish" Route. So here you have it why you cant wear that obiviously aimed at smexy women designed Piece of Cloth. Because you look creepy in it.

Would you appear in a Evening Dress of a Woman to your Date? No you won't. So neither does your Hero. End of Story.

No i have no Phobic against Homosexuality nor i'm against it. Just saying before all these "oh look a homo phob" comments pop up.

Don't relate it to """real life""" either. It's just better for people to have options.
Do I like skimpy female armor? Not really... am I going to tell people to stop wearing it? No. Who cares.

The point isn't even just wearing a dress. It's females getting more glamour options because they get dresses and the male equivalent to those dresses. Ie males want sexy clothing options too and they also want long robes that look good or classy. Males want equivalent style options.
